Privacy Policy
Iris Media Publishing · Effective 26 October 2026 · Updated 26 October 2026 (TikTok added)
Iris Media Publishing is a private tool operated by Iris Media to upload Iris Media's own videos to Iris Media's own YouTube channel and to its own TikTok account's inbox as drafts. It is not offered to the public. This policy explains what the tool accesses when Iris Media's own accounts connect it to YouTube and TikTok.
Information accessed through Google
With the account owner's permission, the tool requests two YouTube permissions:
- Upload videos (
youtube.upload): to upload a video the owner has approved, with the title, description, tags, category, audience and visibility settings the owner chose for that upload. - View the YouTube account (
youtube.readonly): to read the connected channel's name and ID, so an upload can only go to the channel the owner approved, and to read the upload and processing status of videos the tool uploaded.
The tool does not read or change other videos, playlists, comments, subscribers, analytics, messages, or any information about other people.
Information accessed through TikTok
With the account owner's permission, the tool requests two TikTok permissions:
- Basic account information (
user.info.basic): to read the connected account's ID and display name, so a draft can only go to the account the owner approved. TikTok also returns a link to the profile picture; the tool does not store it. - Upload to the inbox (
video.upload): to send a video the owner has approved to the Iris Media account's TikTok inbox as a draft, and to read that upload's status. The owner finishes and posts the draft in the TikTok app. The tool does not post to TikTok directly.
The tool does not read other videos, comments, followers, messages, analytics, or any information about other people on TikTok.
How information is used
The information is used only to perform and confirm uploads the owner approved. It is not used for advertising, not used to build profiles, not sold, and not shared with anyone. No other service receives it.
Information received from TikTok is used only to send and confirm drafts the owner approved, and is handled under the same rules.
Iris Media Publishing's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storage and security
- Google's and TikTok's sign-in tokens are stored only on Iris Media's own computer, in files that only the owner's account can read. They are never stored in a website, a browser, or a third-party service.
- Upload records (which video was uploaded, to which account, when, and the link or upload status the platform returned) are kept on the same computer so the owner can review them.
- This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare, which serves it, keeps standard request logs under its own privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Tokens are kept until access is revoked or the owner deletes them. Upload records are kept as a history of what was published and can be deleted by the owner at any time. Videos on YouTube are managed in YouTube Studio; drafts and posts on TikTok are managed in the TikTok app.
Revoking access
YouTube access can be removed at any time from the Google account's third-party connections page. TikTok access can be removed in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy, Security and permissions, Apps and services permissions. After that, the tool can no longer upload to or read anything from that account.
YouTube and TikTok
Uploads are made through the YouTube API Services and TikTok's Content Posting API. Use of YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Use of TikTok is subject to the TikTok Terms of Service, and TikTok's handling of data is described in the TikTok Privacy Policy.
Changes
If the tool starts using other services or permissions, this policy will be updated before it does, with a new effective date.
